About AquaPaddle

The AquaPaddle Event Community is there to support the AquaPaddle – BlueSpace Sessions.

AquaPaddle is classed as a Free Social Paddle, open to paddlers of all abilities who take responsibility for their own equipment and safety. However, on the day, there are trained safety volunteers to help marshal the event, giving support and positioning markers to indicate the course. AquaPaddle is independent of any club or commercial organisations, welcoming all paddlers, young and old, to sign up and join in.

When on an AquaPaddle there will be safety volunteers marshalling the route. Still, if someone falls in near you, you are expected to help and alert the volunteers, not just paddle past. The safety of other paddlers is more important than getting a ‘time’; you can come back another day and do that. If there is a medical emergency, the First Aid Trained Safety Volunteers are on hand to step in – Let us build a community of kindness and a passion for water sports.

Join other AquaPaddlers in our free online Discord community.

The Discord comms system is a great multi-channel communications system like WhatsApp, but a lot better as you can set it to be notified about the locations and AquaPaddles you want to know about and “Mute” the ones you don’t. There is also a great Desktop app available to have on your Laptop or Pad.

What you need to know about attending an AquaPaddle

There are a couple of blog posts we have written to give you more information about What you need for an AquaPaddle and What to expect at an AquaPaddle. Please read them and ask questions via our Discord Comms system or via our contact form. We want you to have the best experience and we value your feedback to help make it a truly great experience.
